Chicken Fried Steak Recipe
Instructions
In a dish combine one half cup of milk and the egg then whisk until well combined. in a separate dish add the flour and baking powder Add two teaspoons of black pepper, onion powder, paprika and garlic powder then whisk until well combined. Dredge the steaks in the egg mixture then the flour then place them on a wire rack Using medium heat bring the oil to temperature then fry the steaks for four minutes on each side. After eight minutes remove your steak from the pan and set it aside until later. Remove most of your oil from the pan leaving five tablespoons. Add five tablespoons of the seasoned flour to the pan then mix until it has browned. Add the remaining milk and continue to whisk. Season with 1⁄4 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of black pepper and continue to mix until your gravy has reached your desired consistency.
