Instructions

In a skillet brown the ground turkey with a little bit of the chopped onion and some salt and pepper. Drain and remove meat and set aside. Saute the onions and peppers in the skillet without cleaning it. In a large stock pot, place the ground turkey and the sauteed peppers and onion. Add tomato sauce and chili powder. Cook on medium heat for approximately 1 1/2 hours or so - the longer the better. I usually start mine at about 3:00 and we sit down to eat at about 6pm. This allows it to simmer on the stove about an extra hour (sealing in the flavors).
